What Is Cyber Monday – And When Is It?
Cyber Monday is pretty much the same as Black Friday – but for the online-shopping folks.
Here’s a fun fact:
Even though Black Friday has its roots in the 1950s, Cyber Monday is its much younger brother – established in 2005. And it started as a Black Friday hangover sale:
Black Friday would kick off the holiday shopping season, and a noticeable spike in online sales could be observed the following Monday.
Slowly, but inevitably, it became one of the most important sales of the shopping season with heavily discounted prices offered by nearly all online retailers.

And there’s a pretty solid reason why its popularity skyrocketed over the past few years:
Nothing beats the convenience of 24-hour availability of online stores, shopping from the comfort of your home, and avoiding all the Black Friday crowds in brick-and-mortar stores.
Cyber Monday refers to the first Monday after Thanksgiving – the one that follows straight after Black Friday. And this year, it’s going to take place on December 2!
Does Amazon Participate In Cyber Monday Sales?
Amazon took part in Cyber Monday sales last year, so there’s no reason to believe that they won’t participate again in 2019.
The discount season will probably start on November 29 – Black Friday – and last throughout the weekend, all the way to Cyber Monday.
Granted, they’re yet to announce the start and end times of the actual sales – but I’ll keep you updated on that.
The so-called Lightning Deals and Deal of the Day will also be available, but only for a limited time or in limited quantities. So, if you find a sewing machine that you like included in the offer, don’t miss out on the opportunity to grab one – they’ll sell out faster than you think!
If there’s one online retailer you should focus on during your hunt for the best Cyber Monday sewing machine deals, it’s Amazon.
