Hello, my name is Mary
Thank you for visiting my website
My First Sewing, Embroidery and Serger Machine:
Sewing has long been my lifetime passion and I feel it is appropriate to create a site wherein I can share with people what I’ve learned and gained from this experience.
I have been interested in sewing since I was a little girl. Whenever I saw my Mom repairing some damaged clothes, I would always observe her movements and marveled at how she managed to make ripped clothing look like new again.
Then there was my granny who was a champion in making crocheted table cloths, shirts and purses. They both made sewing and crocheting look so easy and handy.
I couldn’t contain my happiness and excitement when my Mom bought a sewing machine. It was the very first sewing machine that I was really able to touch and feel.
I was so excited, I sat on a chair and started spinning the balance wheel and stepped onto the ladle and I wondered why it was not moving. I kept on stomping on it and it wouldn’t move.
Then my Mom reached out for the plug and plugged it on the socket. And I started running the wheel. I can’t explain how happy I was when it finally moved. I felt powerful.
While in college, I was able to work in a clothing boutique which specialized in wedding gowns and formal wear for men and women. There I learned everything about sewing, fabrics, embroidery, designing and even repairs.
I’ve gained a great deal of knowledge about different machines as well as the techniques which are so important to master if you want to become an expert sewer. On this site I’d like to share as much information as possible with fellow sewers and I hope you find lots of useful information and impartial reviews.
Whether you are just beginning or you are a proficient seamstress looking to invest in a new machine, I hope there’s something here for everyone!
Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or you’d like to share anything on my site. I try to respond to all queries in a timely manner.
Thank you very much and enjoy!
