With a steamer, you can steam all kinds of materials like satin, polyester, silk, jersey and so on.
Using a steamer provides fast results, however, you cannot get that crisp look that only your regular iron can achieve. Also, most steamers are portable and lightweight but not as effective as many regular irons.
However, you cannot press your garment with a steamer and get that nice crisp line. Also, certain colors may run under steam pressure, so it is super important to check your garments before applying steam. Not to mention that oversteaming can damage garments, especially a jacket if you are not being careful.

However, what I have not listed is a hard floor, hanging clothes in the bathroom while taking a hot shower, throwing your clothes in the dryer with an ice cube and so on.
You can use a hard floor instead of an ironing board, however, make sure that it is clean before you lay a garment on it. If you want to try something else, hang your clothes in the bath while taking a hot shower and thank me later. The wrinkles will disappear in 30 min and you will get wrinkle-free wearable clothes.
Also, after laundering a garment, hang it in your closet instead of folding it. This will prevent wrinkles from forming. But if you are in a hurry and need a wrinkle-free item fast, use a wrinkle-release spray.
