They believe that heat press paper does not last long and does not provide as good designs as printable vinyl. Also, to press the right way, you will need constant pressure and constant temperature for the appropriate time.

Heat Transfer Paper vs Screen Printing

Screen printing needs chemicals and equipment including films, tape, scrubbers, printers, squeegees, screens, and plastisol ink. It involves the application of the ink-blocking stencil to nylon mesh or screen.

The stencil will have ink in liquid form. You take the stencil and transfer it to the fabrics and that is it. If you wonder which is better, keep in mind that screen printing is cheap if you have larger projects (over 1000 units). It produces bright, soft and durable garments that will not fade from any washing machine.

However, the cons of screen printing are that it is not suitable for small orders. Also, it cannot deal with multi-colored designs. It works with 1 or 2 colors tops. How To Remove Heat Transfer Paper From Shirt?

Iron-on transfers do not have to be permanent if you do not want to. You can remove them easily by applying some of these techniques or combine them together if you want to change the look of your clothes. Keep on reading to review the few ways on how to remove heat transfer paper from t-shirts.

Adhesive Remover

Use Goo Gone or some other adhesive removal product. However, first and foremost, you need to heat up the vinyl again. So, if you are using a heat press machine, avoid the area from before. Place the item under the heat platen for a minute. If you were using an iron, move it over the area to warm it up again.

Then spray the area with the adhesive remover on both the inside and outside of the item. Let it sit for a few minutes under the heat platen again. You may need to repeat the steps to get the vinyl to come off.

After, try and grab a corner of your transfer with tweezers or some other similar tool. Pull away the vinyl from the item. It is likely to come off in pieces. However, continue pulling away and eventually, you will have it completely removed. Lastly, wash and dry your t-shirt before you add another heat transfer. It is likely that the new design will not stick in the spots treated with the Goo Gone or some other remover.
