Stick the threaded end of the threader through the eye of the needle. Pull the thread through the hole. Remove the threader and leave at least 2’’ of thread hanging from the needle’s eye. Piece of cake right?

Step 2: Stitching The Material

Sewing the fabric is the second step. First, turn the hand wheel on the side of your sewing device in one direction until the needle arm is raised.

After, lift the presser foot with one hand while putting the fabric below with the other hand. Position the material so the needle is straight over where you want to begin.

Hold your sewing device firmly with one hand and push the power button. Once you do this, the device will begin sewing.

Guide the material through the device with your other hand. Once you are done with work, all you have to do is turn off the power switch in order to stop your new handheld sewing device.

6. Hold the material firmly and feed it straight to the needle

8. Turn off the power switch once you are done with sewing

How to Repair Handheld Sewing Machine?

If your handheld sewing machine does not sew, do not worry because you can probably fix this issue on your own. So, if the needle is already threaded and it goes up and down but does not make a stitch, only empty holes, this is what you are going to do. First, loosen the screw that is holding the needle in place.

Pull the needle down a bit, making it longer and make sure that it is facing frontwards. Tighten the screw and try again. If it does not work again, repeat until it finally stitches.

If the needle is short and not going deep enough into the hole, the strike plate which you cannot see is not getting triggered by it, making a stitch. Change the material that you are using to see if your device functions properly on a different one.

If nothing helps, maybe your hand sewing machine has a malfunction. In this case, you need to exchange it. Contact the seller and require a new machine. Or take your machine to a professional and get it fixed if possible. Keep in mind that hand machines are not made that long ago. Meaning, manufacturers are still working on some upgrades. Remember that even the slightest change can make a major difference.
