I mentioned on Friday I had turned myself into a hair accessory making factory for my niece's birthday gift.
It was so much fun I ended up making some for me, my little girl, and my other two niece's who's birthdays are coming up very soon!
I'm really excited about how this little bunny turned out..... I have a tutorial coming on Wednesday!
I made so many that I had to make a larger clip holder! I will post some pics of the new one soon too!

Add CommentI have been wanting to start making my own hair accessories for a while now, I love the headbands with the flowers, bows, and other cute adornments! :)
love the bunny!!! my girls inventory is getting low (we lose them as fast as we make them), was just thinking its about time for a barrette factory session myself :)
Hi Taylor,
Too cute! I would & do want some for me!! LOL
I was wondering if you could tell me what kind of felt you use(& where you purchase it)I have tried to make some cute hair things & other things to no avail because of the felt. I want them to look cute not trashy!
Thanks bunches;}
The felt I used for these was eco felt. You purchase it off the bolt, I got mine at JoAnn's It does pill after a bit so it isn't my first choice, but it's affordable and since I'm just making them for personal use or gifts I don't expect them to last forever. I really suggest if your going to purchase some anyway finding a bundle of colors on etsy of wool felt. So many etsy sellers sell small squares in a variety of colors so you can get the most amount of colors for your buck! Plus wool felt lasts a lot longer and is nicer to work with as it doesn't stretch and pull like craft felt.
Hope that helps!
They turned out beautiful. I LOVE love the bunny one. Looking forward to the tutorial!
PLEASE explain how to do the rolled flowers!
Yay! I'd also like to know how you did the rolled flowers, as well as how best to attach the various items to a headband. I have a four year old hair accessories maven at my house who would LOVE these. So beautiful!
