Sometimes I have to keep things off the blog in order to keep it a surprise. Galoshes is a wonderful supporter for my blog and therefore I could not share this Christmas gift with you until AFTER she got it. She is now down in Arkansas, where they go every winter after the holidays, to work on the cedarstone cabin they have been building a little at a time since 2007. This year they are at the stage where she can actually start a little bit of decorating, so I made her these!
There were surprisingly easy. The secret to the lettering was freezer paper stenciling! Of course it was the holiday rush so I neglected to do step by step photos, bad blogger! But I love them so much I think I might make myself a set and if your interested I could do a tutorial at that time.
This post also happens to be in great time for the Bloggers Pillow Party!
So I am entering them for January.
Pics taken on manual! Can you believe it, I didn't edit them a bit other than to crop and watermark. I'm so getting the hang of this. I encourage you to challenge yourself and take your own camera off auto. I was so intimidated at the thought, but I'm so glad I'm finally doing it.

these are beyond GREAT...I love the ruffle and the font - the WHOLE BIG IDEA! Awesome....tutorial to come? mmmmmm
