One of my favorite sites is Knock Off Wood. You see, my husband is a carpenter and although he enjoys making me things I'm quite impatient and hate waiting for him to draw up plans and get a supply list. Then one day I discovered Knock Off Wood where I can print out the plans and supply list (even know how much it will cost which is a great argument for getting it done!) and hand it to him as we head to the hardware store!
A while back she posted these pallet shelves and I fell in love (you may hate them, they aren't for everyone). I had the hubby bring a pallet home from work and TA DA!
One pallet made two big book shelves and the one small shelf I have the boots on. Love them or hate them?

Add CommentI love the idea, but the appreance is a little too "raw" for my liking. I think it depends on the room it is in and whatnot. But I could do this with a little post building treatment.. maybe a little paint?
Either way, it is a great idea. Thanks for sharing!
I love it! Especially the stenciled numbers on the side. I would totally do this if I had a mud room :)
Love it!
I love them! I am always trying to figure out how to contain our personal library, and these look like they would work nicely! Might have to give it a try :)

Love them. No question. I saw them on Knock off wood & have been looking for the perfect spot in my home for one!
I really like the book shelf idea. I may need to do that myself! :)
Very shabby chic! They wouldn't go in my house but they look great.
Love it! Especially the book shelf!
Oooh, I definitely love them. :)
I really like the book shelf. Have there been any problems with splinters in little fingers?
Ooohh, I love, love, love them! Hmmmm It may be time to go pallet hunting! Wouldn't that look awesome as a magazine rack in a family room!
I LOVE them. It would be awesome in a mud room...if I had one. :)

LOVE ANNA!!!!! I have about 15 plans already printed out that I can't afford to make. LOL
I LOVE them. Would all depend on your style. For instance, would never work in my sister's designer formal house, but would look great in mine!
hmm might work in a cottage feel home I think..
Love them! Love the rustic, not-so-perfect feel! I am featuring these at somedaycrafts.blogspot.com. I don't think I ever told you that I like your new blog set-up. Looks great!
