Okay, cheesy title. This is my first submission to the Living with Lindsay dollar store challenge. I turned a Noah from the toy isle into a gnome with a little paint, some fabric and floral tape.
Here's my little guy's before and after.
His little hook came out of his hand so I cut off the top hook part and wrapped it with brown floral tape, creating a few little branch nobs along the way.
I painted him with plain old acrylic paint, turned his scroll into a bunch of flowers with a few tiny circles of fabric for the flower heads. The mushrooms are just bits of felt with a couple dots of paint hot glued onto the rock.
Everything came from the dollar tree, the glass dish, pebble stones, moss stones, flowers and guy for a bit of spring.

That is cute...
I can just tell this is going to be a terrific challenge! You just raised the bar on creativity!
I'm working on my dollar store challenge submissions this weekend too... and I was feeling confident, but now I'm... not :) Just kidding - great work!

Holy crap this is SOOO CUTE!!! I love everything about it!
What a cute idea! I wandered the dollar store for ages trying to come up with an entry. You have a good eye to see Noah and realize you could gnome him! Well done.
How clever! I love everything about this.
I have to confess I love gnomes, especially the Travelocity one - tacky or not!
so cute-- the title of the post is what grabbed me - love the humor!
Bah-hahaha! Too funny! This is the most unique entry on Lindsay's linky challenge that I've seen yet! I used those grassy/moss stones in my entry too!
It's so cool that crafters can come up with such different results given the same materials!
